Candace for Model Number WSLS1100AWW

I have been asked if it the model number is "...A0WW" or "...A1WW" after the WSLS1100 part of the number. I do not know the answer, and cannot pull out the machine to look for specific number. Will this filter fit regardless? I see it is blue, where mine in beige. Otherwise, about 3" wide and 9" long. And, if I can order, while I wait for delivery, can I use the washer? The outer part of the filter fits on still, it is the screen within that is mangled. Please advise on all counts. Thanks.

Candace, The filter will be the same on both of the unit models indicated. The filter part number is WH42X10020, With the screen being gone would recommend waiting until the part arrives.

Doug, No it would not be a " filter issue". The possibilities are: a fabric softener residue build up inside or under the agitator. There is a slight possibility there may be a leak in the transmission shaft casing, and oil is being leaked into the tub. A couple of ways to check. Find an article with the stain, wet the spot then iron it or dry it with a hair dryer. If the spot has a camphor or rope odor then it's transmission oil, if it has a sweet or flowery odor, then its the softener. You can wash out the majority of the residue using hot water and a lot of detergent(1 1/2 to 2 times as much as a recommended wash load, fill the washer, add the detergent, let it wash 10 to 12 minutes then let it soak 20 to 30 minutes, then resume the cycle.

Jonathan, You will want to check the water valve to make sure that the screens are not plugged and check the pressure hose and air dome on the tub to ensure that it is not clooged.
