The Terminal Block Assembly is an OEM replacement part for GE electric stoves. It acts as the central wiring connection hub, routing power to critical heating components such as the oven bake/broil elements and stovetop burners.

Symptoms of a bad terminal block include:

  • Intermittent or unpredictable burner/heating element operation
  • Inability to achieve proper cooking temperatures
  • Buzzing or crackling noises from inside the stove cabinet

Causes stem from normal wear over time, as vibration and heat cycling can cause cracks or corrosion in the block's electrical connections.

This OEM GE part is compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore electric stove models.

Walter, To change the terminal block you will need to pull the unit out and disconnect the power supply. Remove the power supply from the terminal block and remove 2 screws from the block that holds it in place. Pull out from the unit and cut the 3 wires that are attached to the block. Once cut strip the ends of the wire and attach them to the wires on the new terminal block. You will match the colors to each other. Wire nut them in place and put a bead of silicone in the nut to keep moisture out but will also help the connection. The terminal block part number is WB17X5095.
