Nino August 31, 2015 for Model Number wr09x10040 Just a follow up question about the placement of the tube. Should any of the sensing tube go past the end of the white tube (or vice versa)? The sensing tube on the replacement part is longer than the original one in my refrigerator, so the white tube is too short. Thanks.
Nino August 29, 2015 for Model Number WR09X10040 Hi, I just received this part from you. The only thing I'm puzzled about is what to do with the coil at the end. I'm assuming that is is what is threaded through the white tube leading to the rear of the refrigerator. Where does it lead, and how do I put the new one in?
1 Answer Hello Nino. Yes, you thread it into the tube and install it the same way as the old part was installed. Read More...
Dorothy July 04, 2014 for Model Number GE TDX9SNYAWH I just received this part from you but can not figure how to remove the box to replace this part. Do you have a you-tube video or simple instructions?
1 Answer Dorothy, There is not a video for accessing the thermostat on the unit. To remove the housing for the thermostat you would first remove the light lens and light bulb. There should be a screw under this that you would remove and the roll the housing forward. Read More...
Lfc February 15, 2014 for Model Number GE TDX9SNYAWH Hi, I'm ordering thermostat WR09X10040 from you to replace defective one on my GE refrig. Does it come with wiring instructions? The previous repairman unplugged most of the wires from the old on and I want to make sure I wire up the new one correctly. Also, what's the easiest way to remove the plastic sleeve from long thermo couple wire of the old unit so I can transfer( slide it on ) the new unit? Thanks!
1 Answer LFC, The wiring diagram only shows 2 wires going to the unit. The green wire will go to the silver terminal on the side of the thermostat. There should also be a blue and brown wire in which they will go across from each other on the inner 2 terminals. The sleeve you just pull straight off and slide on. It can be a little difficult to slide on but you just work it onto the thermostat bulb. Read More...
Joel October 25, 2012 for Model Number GE TDX 11SNYAWH Thermostat part number (on thermostat) is 077B6528. Seems to be made by some company other than GE. The long thermocouple wire is coated in white plastic except for the last couple of inches, where it is plain metal so it can make good thermal contact with a metal part of the refrigerator. The picture of your part shows no such white plastic on the part. Do you have it with the white plastic, or do I have to somehow get the plastic off the old thermostat and move it to the new one?
1 Answer Hello Joel, The plastic sleeve on the original thermostat can be removed and transferred to new thermostat. Read More...
