Kevin H July 20, 2019 for Model Number ZSC2201JSS Is there a replacement part for the perforated grill? It is not shown in the break-out diagrams but appears in the actual unit to be part of the inner stainless steel case. Ugh. The glass breaking is a result of the perforated grill (part of the metal inner case - melting from using the microwave unit. Hot molten metal (sparking from microwave usage) then drips on to the glass and the glass will then also arc and eventually crack from overheating of the molten metal from the microwave. Once this perforated grill between the glass and the bulbs starts to melt, it will not stop, using the microwave for more than 30secs at a time will repeat this melting and glass cracking process. Replacing the glass will not fix it, but will allow you to use the halogen bulbs for cooking, but avoid running the microwave.

Larry February 11, 2014 for Model Number sca2001fss02 Do I have to have a special tool to replace the glass that covers the halogen light in my oven? If so where can I get one?
1 Answer Larry, If the screws that are in the hold downs on the ceiling of the unit are star shaped then it is a torx bit. Normally will be #15 or #20 torx and if it has a pin in the center of the screw then it is a security bit. Read More...

Robinnbob February 16, 2012 for Model Number sva2000bbb03 The glass on the top glows red when the unit is running. The are occasional sparks emitted from that spot on the glass. What causes this? I replaced the glass in November after the previous glass cracked in 2. The sparking and glowing spot began shortly after I installed the new glass. Does the glass need to be replaced or did something in the unit cause this.
1 Answer Robinnbob, There are two possibilities, There is dust and debris between the glass and halogen lamp assembly. You may have damaged the halogen lamp WB36X10126, or you accidentally touched it. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
