Janet May 27, 2016 for Model Number Wbvh6240fww My washer just started to make very loud noises while in the spin cycle. At the start so spinning I The drum appears to be off balance and makes a thud sound while spinning. As it picks up speed or makes aloud grinding noise. The last load I did had some debris in it that was not in it when started..kind of looks like pieces of a grey thin gasket? Any idea what went wrong or where this debris may have come from?
1 Answer Janet, This issue sounds like the spider support on the back of the inner tub has broken and would need to be replaced. You will want to check also to make sure that it did not dig through the front of the outer tub and put a hole in it.
