I am thinking we could use the veg pan cover on the bottom for the shelf, even tho we do not have the veg crisper. Then we would only have to buy 1 shelf ($$!) and the cover, saving a little. Just asking your opinion if the cover can be used in this way. Mostly just kids' lunches would be on this shelf. Not alot of weight. We do not need the crisper, nor can we afford to lose the space, not to mention afford to buy the crisper.
