The Door Boot Gasket is an OEM replacement part for LG washing machines. It establishes a secure seal around the perimeter of the washer door during operation.

Causes for failure include cracking or breakdown of adhesive qualities over extended tumbling cycles. Repeated impacts during high spin can dislodge sections.

Symptoms of a bad door boot gasket include:

  • Drips or puddles around the base after cycles complete
  • Gradual pooling observed near door edges
  • Loosening or falling fragments found inside the drum
  • Visible moisture escaping between the door and frame interface

This OEM LG replacement ensures years of leak-free washing.

NOTE: This gasket includes a port. For the gasket without the port order MDS33059401.

For Lg Door Boot Gasket (Part Number: OEM13337124)

Hideho for Model Number WM2016CW

I need a new door boot gasket and am trying to figure out if mine has a drain port or not. It looks like the part MDS33059401 has a drain port that is " closed off" in your photo. So I looked at my current door boot and without removing the front of my washer to get a look inside I pulled back the outside of the gasket and I see a small hole at the 6 o'clock position, but when I tried to stick a pencil in it, it didn't go very far in (this is also the area covered in mold - which makes me think there is no drain port) Does this mean it doesn't have drain port? Is there any way to know for sure without disassembling my washer?

Hello Hideho. You have to look at your old one on your unit and see if the drain is there or not. This determines which gasket you need to order.

Bruce, A faulty door boot gasket would not cause the washer to bang around during the spin cycle. Things that you will want to check is to make sure that the drum does not move up and down. If that is the case then the spider also known as tub support may be broken which would cause this issue. It could also be that the bearings are allowing the tub to shift. Also check the shocks to make sure that they are good.

Sean, To tell whether your unit has the drain port or not just look into the bottom of the door boot and look for a hole that looks like a drain.
