Joey November 13, 2018 for Model Number WM2016CW How do I tell which replacement gasket I should get for my LG WM2016CW? I see there are two options, one with a drain port (MDS33059402) and one without (MDS33059401). How do I tell which one I have without having to remove my existing gasket beforehand? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Joey, The drain is in the very bottom of the gasket on your machine. Open the door and check in the bottom of the door gasket for a hole where water would stand. If there is a hole, this is the drain. If there is no hole, yours does not have a drain. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Bill, this dryer does not have an actual door boot seal only a drum seal part number 4036EL3001A. Thanks! Read More...

Phil June 12, 2017 for Model Number WM3875HVCA Hello - I have LG washer Model listed. The door gasket is nasty with black stains of mold. Is there a replacement gasket that has a drain? The part # I come up with is MDS47123603. Will gasket have a drain? Thanks.
2 Answers Phil, This gasket MDS47123603 does appear to have a drain hole but will not work on your unit if it did not have a drain hole on the unit. The tub front would also have to be replaced along with the lower balance weight in order to accommodate the drain. Read More...

2 Answers Phil, The replacement boot/bellows has three small drain holes/slots located at the 6 o'clock (bottom) of the boot to allow water, suds, etc. to drain back into the tub. You need to check those openings occasionally. In order to reduce the mold and mildew that may develop in the boot/bellow, you want to use the hottest/warmest water temperature possible for the articles being washed, use the proper type and amount of detergent and bleach and dilute the fabric softener (when used) with hot water. Don February 27, 2017 for Model Number WM2016CW I ordered the BOOT SEAL GASKET MDS33059401 got a gasket that looks right the only issue is the drain hole connection is there but no hole. Is this a universal part where the hole is made manually if required? It does say model No. 3 on original and No. 2 on new one. Both have the same model number on them.
1 Answer Don, The door boot gasket that you received should have had the hole but you may want to try part number MDS33059401. Read More...

Mike January 11, 2016 for Model Number WM2016CW I ordered from you LG part # MDS33059402 (my order # is 6163174) after watching an online video showing how to replace the door boot seal. I received the part but it turns out that my unit does not have a drain at the 6 O-clock position on the door seal. So I see on your site that the correct part to order if my door seal does NOT have a drain is MDS33059401. I pulled up that part and when I filled in my model number (WM2016CW) on your website to see if MDS33059401 is compatible, your website says NO. However, it does say YES for the MDS33059402. Is the MDS33059401 compatible with model # WM2016CW? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Mike. Yes, it is compatible and should work fine if you do not have a drain hole. Read More...
