Richard Kennedy August 08, 2023 for Model Number WM1832CW My washer seems to stop near the 20 minute part of the cycle. The error code is originally OE and then when open the door and close it the error code changes to PF. Could the motor power wire be the issue. I read that due to motion of the tub, the wiring is a common failure.
1 Answer Richard, It could potentially be the motor harness but you will want to also check to ensure that the tub spider is not damaged or broken. Read More...
Charles December 07, 2022 for Model Number LG WM3477HW I'm getting the LE code and I'm looking to replace the rotor position sensor and the wiring harness but there are two different harnesses in the parts diagram and it's not clear which one I need. Is it the 6877ER3003B or the 6877ER1052F? Thanks!
Hannah September 29, 2020 for Model Number LG WM2050Cw Machine displays LE code. When starting to spin, the basket “shakes” back and forth but does not fully spin around. There is a high-pitched noise as it tries to spin, then sounds like a rubber brake is keeping it from spinning. The machine is about 10 years old, any idea what needs to be fixed?
1 Answer Hannah, You will want to check to make sure that the tub spider is not broken, make sure that the tub will spin freely. There is a tech sheet inside the unit that will give more information on the LE error code. Read More...
Michael June 22, 2020 for Model Number WM2240CW I am getting the tE error code which implies a bad thermistor. However when I looked underneath I noticed that the wires that are supposed to connect to the thermistor have pulled out of the connector thus not supplying power to the thermistor. I just need a replacement connector to put in place. Do you sell that so I don't have to replace the whole wiring harness?
1 Answer Hello Michael, unfortunately the manufacturer only supplies the connector as part of the main washer wire harness EAD39334745. Read More...
Ty May 31, 2019 for Model Number WM3170CW I am getting the LE code on my LG washer within a few minutes of starting a cycle. The drum spins in both directions when spun by hand. It makes a loud sound and doesn't spin well going clockwise. Locks up entirely when trying to spin counterclockwise. I replaced the hall sensor with part 6501KW2002A. That did not solve the problem. There is continuity from the hall sensor and motor to main board. The rotor looks basically new, some ever so slight dust that was easily wiped off. The resistance of the stator is 10-11 ohms between all three poles. I am really at a loss of what the issue might be. I could replace the wire harness. Perhaps there is an intermittent fault or poor connection. If it is not the harness, then perhaps the main board? Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks!
1 Answer Ty, the inner basket should not lock up when rotating in either direction. You may want to check the bearings and spider shaft assembly. It is also a possibility that there may be an item in between the outer and inner tub causing it to lock up when rotating counterclockwise. Read More...
Eric H May 22, 2018 for Model Number WM0532HW Well it has been a year since I replaced the motor wiring harness and the rotor position sensor and once again the LE message has reared its ugly head. The stator checked out fine when I tested it so I don't know what else to do. I had the old rotor position sensor and put it back on and the washer worked for one load then got LE again. I don't know what else it could be??
1 Answer Hello Eric. If the rotor and stator are good, you will need to replace the sensor again on the unit. Thank you. Read More...
Ken B February 01, 2018 for Model Number WM0642HW I have been getting an LE code and just replaced the hall sensor last night on my LG front load washer. Tried to reset and once the washer starts, with the drum empty, after about 30 seconds or so, it throws the LE code again. Everything else I've read said it could also be the thermistor, the motor wiring harness, or the main circuit board.......or the motor itself. I'm thinking that if it was the motor, it would not start a wash cycle at all, would it? Many thanks!
1 Answer Ken, You will want to check the wiring harness between the hall sensor and the main board. If this checks ok then the the main control board will be the issue. Read More...
Chris Hall December 15, 2014 for Model Number LG WM2277HW/SN#605KWVQ00343 Getting a dE door lock error code Have replaced the lock assembly and the main control board to no avail. Before the error code is displayed two double clicks can be heard. Any ideas?
1 Answer Chris, With having a DE error code, and the control and door lock having been replaced, check the door strike and if it checks ok then the wiring harness would most likely be the issue. Read More...
Steve March 23, 2014 for Model Number wmo532hw PS3530229-harness motor. I believe my fault is between the hall sensor 4pin connector and the opposite 4 pin connector attached to multistrand Is there a part number or does it just make sense to replace the assembly?
1 Answer Steve, It sounds like the part that you would need to replace would be the motor harness part number 6877ER1016B. Read More...
Nan February 24, 2012 for Model Number WM2277HS The wire part of thermistor is broken. I just saw 2-wires. When I see the picture above the Harness/motor, they all have more than 2 wires. I have no clue. Is it the right part to order or not?
