This motor wire harness links the washer's drive motor to the main control, carrying power and signal connections so the drum can start and regulate spin/tumble. Replacing a damaged harness restores reliable motor operation and helps prevent intermittent faults.

  • Carries power and control signals between the main PCB and the drive motor
  • Ensures secure, keyed connections at the motor and control board
  • Drum won't spin or tumble, or stops mid-cycle
  • Intermittent motor operation, humming, or "LE" motor error on some models
  • Visible heat damage, broken wires, or loose/burned connectors
What's included: One motor wire harness Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing; allow any capacitors on the control to discharge
  • Access the harness by removing the rear or top panel per your model's service information
  • Photograph routing and reuse all clips/ties; keep wiring clear of the rotor/drum and sharp edges
  • Seat connectors fully (keyed plugs only fit one way); do not force, and secure all strain reliefs

Hello Nadine. Make sure the unit is draining properly. If so, then you will need to check the control board on the unit. If the board is bad, then the part needed 6871ER1062G has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part.

Don, Unfortunately we would not have a wiring diagram for this Sears Kenmore product as the manufacturer does not supply this information.

Mark for Model Number WM2487HRM

I have a LG Washer Model WM2487HRM. I removed the back panel and found that the multi wire motor harness has cracked and shorted. Evidently, this also shorted out the main power panel, which I have already replaced. I have attempted to remove this harness but cannot get to all the connections. My question is how do I replace the wire harness (LG part 6877ER1016F)? I cannot get to the ground wire and the connector that are behind the flywheel of the direct drive motor to remove. Do I remove the flywheel or am I missing something?

1 Answer

Mark, To remove the wire harness that is behind the stator you would need to remove the stator and rotor. This will allow you access to the screw that holds the ground wire in place.
