Gary, The nut for the heater should be snug but not too tight due to the fact it tends to crack or break the nut which will allow a leak, check the nuts to make sure they are not broken.

John, Thanks for the question!!! I would try tightening the nut to see if it stops, if not uninstall (inspect seal) and reinstall to be sure it is in the whole way.

John, This HE error will be a heating circuit error in which you will want to test the heater. If the heater is good then there should be a thermostat or thermistor you will want to test and if the thermistor or thermostat is good then the control board is faulty and would need to be replaced.

Hello Gord, the HE code refers to the control board not seeing a temp rise of the wash water, since the new heater element assembly also includes the thermistor and assuming you have installed the wires correctly then it is likely the heater relay on the main control board is faulty, the board is part [AP5680520[].

Hello Mark, the steam generator is only used with the steam option. Primary heating of the wash water is done by the heater element in the sump. Since you replaced the heater which also comes with a new thermistor and it still is not heating and gives the HE code, suspect the main control board EBR38144404is faulty

I would check the water temperature coming out of the tap. It should be at least 125 degrees. If not your water heater needs turned up. The dishwasher may not be able to heat the water high enough if the incoming water temp is to low.

Before you replace the heater there are a few things you should check. First, make sure the water at the sink tap is at least 125 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, check to see if the heater is getting 120vac to it. These two checks will help find the issue.

Darren, When you replaced the heater, the thermistor is part of the heater assembly. Since both the heater and thermistor have been replaced then this would be a faulty control board.
