The Gasket Holder is an OEM replacement part for LG refrigerators. It is a mount located around refrigerator doors that secures the gaskets in their tracks. About 37.5" long

Potential failure causes relate to consistent flexing and impact stresses warping holder material over many years. Mineral buildup inhibiting a flush seal is also possible.

Symptoms involve:

  • Cold air infiltration from gaps where gaskets no longer fit tightly
  • Condensation or frost accumulated on external door panels
  • Ice buildup inside due to insufficient insulation performance
  • Gaskets detaching from holder tracks rendering them useless

This OEM LG part is also compatible with some Sears/Kenmore models.

Hello Raffi. You will need to remove the cover over the hinge on the top of the door. Then unplug the door switch wire and the wire harness. Remove the ground screw. Loosen the 6 screws and lift off the top hinge. Place the door on a non-scratching surface with the inside up. Next remove the door frame cover by starting at the top of the cover and work your way down unsnapping the cover from the door. Pull gasket back to expose gasket bracket clip and door frame. Insert a flat tip screwdriver into seam between gasket bracket 4930JJ2028G and door frame and pry back until clips snap out.
