For Lg Refrigerator Water Tank Assembly (Part Number: OEM15760908)

Matt for Model Number LFX28968D /00

A couple weeks ago, my water pressure coming out of fridge dropped drastically. I have since pulled fridge out, checked lines coming into the fridge, I changed the filter even though fridge didn't say it needed it. I'm not sure what else to try. I don't have any leaks, it's like something has gotten into the line somewhere and it is blocking the line. When you first hit the button it has pressure for about 1 sec. Then it slows down to a light trickle. Any suggestions would be nice, because I can't get anyone to come look at my LG stuff because it's not under warranty, and no LG repair people are close enough to want to come look at our appliances.

Matt, Check to make sure you have full house pressure to the refrigerator at the water valve. Then check the pressure through the water valve and clear any debris from the screens going into the valve.

Don, the connector could have possibly failed and started leaking, or the hose itself may have a crack in it causing the leak. Based on the manufacturer's database, the tank assembly AJL72911502 should work and the attached hose should connect into the valve.

Shelly, there will be little plastic rings around the tubing where the tubing is inserted into the tank. These plastic rings will need to be pressed towards the tank while the tubing is pulled out as these rings are locking mechanisms for the tubing connector.

Brenda, If there is water going to the dispenser then the tank has filled up and you will want to check to make sure that the fill tube for the ice maker is not frozen and check to make sure that there is 120 vac going to the ice maker water valve. If there is power to the water valve but no water coming through and the fill tube is clear then the valve is faulty.

Dell, Check for an air leak around the door and if there is not one then it would be either the water valve in the door leaking or the water reservoir that is leaking.

Hello Haydn, The water tank is a staging area for the water to get cold so when the water is dispensed, it will be cold instead of room temperature.

Anita, It sounds like the blue tube is not pushed in all the way into the tank. Once it seems to hit bottom try to push it in a little more. If this checks ok then the tank would need replaced.
