Dan January 24, 2018 Water it is not coming out when you press on the door dispenser. The light display for the water not lighted.If I unplug the fridge and pug it back on the light comes on and the water works for a while then it will stop working again.I changed the main control board and it is happening the same thing.I am thinking about the dispenser control board being defective or water inlet valve.The fridge model is 79574022410 kenmore elite french doors.Can you list the part # that you think needs to be changed?

Lynne July 17, 2017 for Model Number LFX31925St/00 WE recently had the main board in the back replaced and since then the ice maker and the water dispenser is not getting water. We have followed all the basic steps recommended to rule out the usual suspects and ll checked out. WE know that their is water in the supply line and that their is power to the ice maker unit itself. I am wondering if it is the valve at the bottom of the unit that is defective? I am not sure if this is a sending unit AI would imagine that it might be the problem. How can I check so I make sure that the right part is ordered.

Jeff February 14, 2016 for Model Number Kenmore Elite Refrigerator 79572053110 The icemaker water supply tube keeps freezing. Thawing the end of the tube results in water supply and icemaker functioning for several days before refreezing. Is this due to a leaky water supply valve that does not fully shut off water supply which results in a frozen tube?

David May 02, 2013 for Model Number 79572059110 My ice maker is not getting water. Water dispenser in door is working fine. Does the water valve at bottom rear of frig control water to both ice maker and door?
1 Answer Hello David. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
