John May 31, 2019 for Model Number Danby DAR195BL mini fridge My refrigerator stopped working. In testing the relay QP2-4R7 relay I show continuity between the two contacts, and resistance between the two contacts measures a 5.5 ohms. The contacts and disk are not corroded and clean. Is the relay bad since it measures over the 4.7 ohm spec or is a variance allowed?
1 Answer Hello John, If the relay [99352.13] rattles when you shake it, the relay will have to be replaced. This indicates that the ceramic disk inside has shattered from exposure to excessive heat. 1 Answer Wilson, We are unable to pull a tech sheet to find the wire color for the line or voltage wire coming to the relay but it should have 120 vac when the compressor is trying to start.
