Stebo46 July 24, 2013 for Model Number Maytag Magic Chef Model CTB1722GR I have a Maytag Magic Chef Refrigerator model #CTB1722GR. The compressor stopped working but the fan and light still work. I did some checking and believe that the relay may be at fault. Which 3 in 1 relay should I replace it with? Can this be a permanent fix?
1 Answer Hello Stebo46. You do not need to use a 3 in 1. If bad, you need to order the original start device W11285096 and use it. Read More...
Bill March 21, 2013 for Model Number HSF158FM3W Which 3 in 1 do I need for this kelvinator model (HSF158FM3W)......the URC0410 or the RCO410?
1 Answer Hello Bill. The 3 in 1 is the relay, overload, capacitor in one unit. You order these based on the H.P. of the unit you are working on. This works with compressors 1/4 - 1/3 hp and should work on yours. Read More...
Eduardo A. March 04, 2013 for Model Number Maytag #MBF2556HES The repair man install a powerstar relay (relay, capacitor, and overload)#HS410. Will I have to replace it with the original one or this one will do fine with Maytag #MBF2556HES.
1 Answer Eduardo, It is not recommended to leave a hard start kit on a refrigerator compressor. You will want to install the proper overload relay on this unit and if the compressor does not run with this then you would want to install new compressor. Read More...
Karen January 22, 2013 for Model Number MBV1976AAB Hello, I purchased this 3 in 1 relay combo to attempt to revive my non-cooling Maytag Skybox. I have almost finished the install but I have a question regarding the 2 black power wires. I capped the gray and white wires from the Skybox and am assuming the 2 black power wires from the 3 in 1 Relay connect to the remaining brown and blue wires. Could you please confirm this for me? Thank-you!
1 Answer Hello Karen, Based on the wiring diagram the Gray and white is for your power and blue and brown capped off. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Richard. If you look on the packaging the relay TJ90RCO410 comes in, there should be instructions on the back of it on how it connects to your unit. The black, white and red wires got to the compressor and the two black wires got to the power source for the compressor. Read More...

Bill S July 16, 2012 for Model Number Amana arb9058cs Repair guy installed 3 in 1. Not sure of part number but unit has a run capacitor. Fridge and freezer warm. This fixed it. Unit is 9 yrs old works fine. Do i need to replace the 3 in 1 with original parts and if so what do I need to buy, I'm guessing start relay device with overload and start capacitor and a run capacitor? Otherwise will the 3 in 1 be ok long term? I see in the question above you said it was not safe for that amana how come?
1 Answer Hello Bill. Yes, you need to order the correct compressor starting device W10613606. The 3 in 1 is good to use until you get the correct part in for the compressor, but over time can damage the compressor on the unit. If the compressor does not run with the original starter, but does with the 3 in 1, then the compressor is more than likely going bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Phil March 13, 2012 for Model Number 106.70842102 Hello. Compressor was cold and fridge was warm. I installed this 3 and 1 start and compressor fired right up. Will it be ok to keep this relay kit installed instead of ordering the factory relay and overload? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Phil. No, the manufacture does not recommend using the 3 in 1 on the compressors. You will need to order the overload kit WP4387938 and use it on the compressor. Hope this helps. Read More...
Tony March 01, 2012 for Model Number URC0410 3in1 to Whirlpool Refrigerator Hi, Where can you buy this part besides online, is there a store that sells it?? I live in Canada. I have one installed but when I removed it form Refri I could not remeber how the wiring were installed so I thought either to drop buy somewhere where they sell it and get a new one preassebled or just to see the wiring diagram. If you can help would be really appreciated. Thank you Tony
1 Answer Tony, we do not have any information regarding local appliance parts companies. At this time we are unable to ship outside of the US and would need a US physical address to ship our parts too. Sorry about that! Read More...
