Kash May 29, 2017 for Model Number RF263BEAEBC/AA-0001 When I will replace water tank housing, how I can take out pipes going into Ice Maker? This part has pipes already installed, I need to remove existing broken housing pipes from the ice maker?
1 Answer Kash, To remove the filter housing to replace you will first need to remove the crisper shelf. Remove the vegetable and fruit drawer, push the button on the left side of the shelf and lift up to release from the assembly. Remove the shelf. To remove the filter housing after shelf is removed you will need to shut the water off and disconnect the water supply line. Remove the top hinge plate that goes across the top and there will be a tube at the corner. There is a compressor fitting that you pop the red cover off on the blue side and push in on the gray ring and pull the tube out. Go to the back of the unit and there will be the blue tube and another tube next to it. To remove the tube next to the blue one there will be a compression fitting that you push in on and then pull the tube out. Remove the brackets holding them in place and the cover from where they enter the refrigerator. Pull the blue tube out and then you would go to the filter housing and remove 1 screw at the back and then should be able to pull the filter housing out. Make sure you disconnect the wiring after pulling it out a little. Install in reverse. Read More...
