Racin December 01, 2015 for Model Number DV42H5000EW/A3-0000 I replaced this part (the thermal fuse) a month ago and it failed again. The dryer is fairly new, clean and well vented. Is their something else that can cause this part to fail?
1 Answer Hello Racin. If the thermal fuse has been replaced and it continues to blow, then the unit is getting to hot. Test the thermistor. If good, replace the control board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

1 Answer Hello Charles. It sounds like the PCB DC92-00162A is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
