I know that it just need 2 for new model assembly. However, after installing the new water filter assembly and the lower ice maker ( located in the freezer door) always leak water continuously. Also, no water comes out from the water dispenser. please, advice. note ( I have new water filter - Samsung ).

Thomas October 18, 2019 for Model Number RFG298HDRS/XAA After the last hurricane passed the top ice maker of my Samsung refrigerator stopped working. The power had gone off and on several times. I removed the top ice maker and it had 9 ice cubes standing up ready to dump it also had 9 cubes laying at the bottom of the maker. When I removed the ice maker I saw that it also had ice under the 9 cubes at the bottom. I think the frozen ice at the bottom prevented the mechanism from dumping. I thawed it out and reinstalled it and turned it on. Hours later I took the ice draw out. It had dumped ice cubes about 3 times and stopped making ice. I took it out as before and it looked the same as before.It was stuck again and not making ice. What could be the problem?
1 Answer Thomas, The more likely issue is the ice maker is overfilling, causing the cubes to stick to the bottom of the ice maker. That is usually caused by a "weak", damaged valve solenoid, or low water pressure. Bill August 28, 2019 for Model Number RFG298HDRS The upper and lower ice makers make some ice very slowly. Water output very slow some times just drips. Replaced the filter. IS it the water valve?
1 Answer Bill, First check or replace the water filter and check the water supply tube for kinks, twists, etc. Make sure you have at least 35 psi water supply pressure at the supply connection on the back of the refrigerator. Bill Mano April 25, 2018 for Model Number Samsung RFG298HDRS My refrigerator has two ice makers. The bottom ice maker (and the door water dispenser) works fine, but the upper ice maker is not filling with water. I have already tried replacing the upper ice maker, but this did not resolve the problem. Could the Filter Assembly & Water Inlet Value (part DA97-11435A) cause only one of my ice makers to fail and still work for the other? Just want some assurance that this is possible before attempting a replacement.

I have ordered a DA97-12662A and a DA97-11435A and both only have 2 electric leads and the one on my fridge has 3 leads. Everyone says the DA97-11435A is the right one and is supposed to have 3 leads but received one on Saturday and it only has 2. What am I supposed to do?!

Chuck H September 19, 2017 for Model Number RFG298HDRS/XAA-0000 I have two ice makers and neither one is getting water. I am looking at the water filter holder as the problem. When I pull the filter now the water shoots out and it wasn't doing that for the first few years I had the refrigerator. I believe the shut off switch may be out of position and not routing the water to the Ice makers. Is this possible?

1 Answer Derick, Unfortunately we do not have the locations of the tubing available but I believe that the blue tube will go to the top of the door to feed the dispenser, the white will go to the lower icemaker and the gray will go back to the water valve.
