Harper March 12, 2022 for Model Number ME18H704SFS/AA-0000 Ready to order the part but another cite states: Because high-voltage capacitors in a microwave can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is unplugged, a service technician should install this part. Reading the other questions, it looks as if no one had any trouble with installation. Microwave making noise and noise grows louder the longer it is on. Can I install this turntable motor? Will it come with instructions?
1 Answer Harper, Thanks for the question!!! It is a good thing to be aware of the dangers involved with working on microwaves. To install the turntable motor you typically would not be accessing any area of high voltage. Installing the motor will be similar to other brands. We do not a video for your model but it would be similar to this video https://youtu.be/RoKueNDvl_8 for a GE model. Note: You typically do not need to take your microwave down to replace the turntable motor. You should be able to lower the bottom panel to replace the turntable motor. The most important step is to make sure that you unplug the microwave before replacing the part. As long as you are only removing the bottom panel you will not be in an area that has access to the dangers associated with the high voltage. Read More...

Beth May 22, 2021 for Model Number MMV4205BAQ Turntable stopped turning. Microwave appeared to be changing turntable setting to off. Worked temporarily after re-setting turntable to on. Eventually stopped turning even when returning setting to on. Disconnected and then re-connected motor drive and problem appeared to be fixed, but now again switching to off with temporary fix with re-setting to on. Should we try replacing the motor drive or is it more likely a control board problem? Thanks!
1 Answer Beth, It would be recommended to check to see if there is constant voltage to the motor. If the motor is getting 120 Vac but not turning then the motor would be the issue and if there is not power then the issue will be the control board. Read More...

Jesse June 10, 2015 I have a whirlpool microwave that purchased a couple years ago. The turntable will not turn so I replaced the motor. It is still not rotating. I have inspected and washed both the plate and the guide. The drive bushing seems to be just fine. But when I power up and turn the microwave on the turntable still does not turn.
1 Answer Jesse, With the turntable having a new motor and it is still not turning then the issue will be in the control board of the unit. Read More...
