This OEM part is sold individually and is a relay control board for ovens. An oven relay control board is a circuit board that receives signals from the main oven control board. The relay control board then relays the signal to regulate the oven's essential functions. If the oven is no longer turning on, heating properly, or regulating its temperature, it might be time for a new relay board. Luckily, replacing this part is not a difficult process. To replace the relay board make sure the oven is unplugged. Gain access to the upper back panel on the back of the range and remove the screws. Once the panel is removed access the relay board, and remove the wire harness as well as any individual wires attached to the old board. Make sure to take note of the orientation of the wires. Replug the wires into their correct terminals on the new board and snap the new board back in place. Resecure the upper back panel. This genuine replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Samsung brand ovens.

A few weeks ago the oven stopped working. The fan would come on, and we would hear clicks but no heat. We tried the reset switch but with no result called a service co. The repair tech came out and said it was the control panel. The heating elements do not have any visible damage. Today a different tech replaced the control panel but the oven symptoms stayed exactly the same. He put the original control panel back and said it must be the relay board. Hmmm. Before I order any more parts, I think I need another opinion. Please let me know what other diagnostics I could conduct to determine what actually needs replacing. If it is the relay board, it looks like I could do it myself. Thank you!

Hello Rose. It sounds like the tech is correct. If the control panel did not resolve the issue then the relay board would need to be replaced. Part# DE81-09179A

Darko for Model Number Dacor ecps 1275 wall oven

While changing light bulb I heard pop and lost completely power in the oven, including time...none of the buttons are reacting, its dead. I did not turn power off, or unplug the oven, however I did change that same thing year ago without problem. This time it took more power to acces light bulb, and in the process I twisted the bulb housing, that is when it popped. The breakers did not turn off...What is the best course of action? What kind of cost i am looking parts and labor (if you can estimate,Houston TX) Regards

Hello Kurt, This sounds like you may have replaced the bulb with power to the bulb turned on. This can shoot the bulb and/or the power supply for the bulb. Pull the tech sheet for the unit and test for voltage to the bulb. If voltage is present, turn the switch off and change the bulb again. If no voltage is present, try turning the switch on and re-testing. If still no power to the bulb, check for a fuse to the power supply board and voltage to the power supply board.

Less than a month ago, our oven stopped working out of the blue. It turned on and the display worked but it wouldn't heat up. Called repair guy and after checking everything, he replaced the relay board (92028) and showed me the burned out spot. 2 days ago I used it, 350 degrees for a few hours. My husband said he smelled plastic, same as when it stopped working last time. Tried to use it tonight and it won't heat up again. What the heck?! Did I get a bad relay board? Could it be an electrical issue? We've had this oven for 6 years and never had a problem. Thanks.

1 Answer

Hello Elena, If the same issue has occurred, and I would definitely check first, The issue is normally caused by excessive current flow. I would check in the junction box where the wires are normally wire-nutted together. Many times when a repeat issue occurs, there will be a loose connection. If no problem exists, I would consider replacing the breaker since they are inexpensive to replace, (hold on to the old one in case the problem recurs and it is proven not to be the cause of the issue. If all checks good, replace the board again, (especially if it is still warranted).

I have a DACOR Epicure Range duel fuel. Everything works exept the bake burner, I took out the bake burner and it does have continuity, I check the two hi limit switches and they did not need to be reset. Am I correct to think it is the relay board. I also wondering if it could be the temperature sensor? Also, do I need to take the burner top of the stove off to get to the relay board, and if you can tell me where exactly the relay board is located and is there any special precautions or ways to handle the relay board when installing besides turning off the power. Thank you, Sam--------------------------

Hello Bob, This is either a bad electrical connection to the unit or in the power supply, (wire nuts in junction box). It could even be a bad breaker. The relay on the power control board could have burned points in it. I would chase the power supply line first. The relay board DE81-09179A will be the issue if the issue isn't in the wiring.
