Tina R. March 19, 2014 for Model Number ECS130SCH I have a decor wall oven, Model #ECS130SCH, and it makes a buzzing sound. Is this a problem that can be repaired? What should I do?
1 Answer Hello Tina, This is probably a relay buzzing. The unit needs to be opened and turned on so it will make the noise. This will make it easy to locate. When you find the board the relay that is making the noise, it will need to be replaced. Read More...
Leslie February 19, 2014 for Model Number Dacor ECD230SCH V-G-03123198 Our bake element will not work in our upper oven. We have tried to reset the fuse, changed the element, and the control panel no luck. Can you tell us how test the relay board to check for voltage to the bake element. We have a multi-meter. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Leslie. There is a terminal on the relay board labeled Bake for the upper oven. You will test for 120 volts from that terminal during bake cycle. If not there, the board is bad. This is a live power test and you need to be extremely careful doing it. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Rose February 06, 2014 for Model Number Dacor MCS130S A few weeks ago the oven stopped working. The fan would come on, and we would hear clicks but no heat. We tried the reset switch but with no result called a service co. The repair tech came out and said it was the control panel. The heating elements do not have any visible damage. Today a different tech replaced the control panel but the oven symptoms stayed exactly the same. He put the original control panel back and said it must be the relay board. Hmmm. Before I order any more parts, I think I need another opinion. Please let me know what other diagnostics I could conduct to determine what actually needs replacing. If it is the relay board, it looks like I could do it myself. Thank you!
1 Answer Hello Rose. It sounds like the tech is correct. If the control panel did not resolve the issue then the relay board would need to be replaced. Part# DE81-09179A Read More...
Darko June 07, 2013 for Model Number Dacor ecps 1275 wall oven While changing light bulb I heard pop and lost completely power in the oven, including time...none of the buttons are reacting, its dead. I did not turn power off, or unplug the oven, however I did change that same thing year ago without problem. This time it took more power to acces light bulb, and in the process I twisted the bulb housing, that is when it popped. The breakers did not turn off...What is the best course of action? What kind of cost i am looking parts and labor (if you can estimate,Houston TX) Regards
1 Answer Darko, Based on the information, it appears that the Electronic control board 62692 is blown out and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Patrick O. May 20, 2013 for Model Number Dacor Epicure model ERDE36 dual fuel I want to make sure your main relay board will fit my range. I verified that there was no voltage on the white lead when the oven was set on bake and the temp at 350. The element has 16 ohms of resistance. The oven will not heat up and the lower element does not heat. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Patrick! Yes, the relay board DE81-09179A is the correct replacement and will work on your Dacor model ERDE36. Thanks! Read More...
Kurt March 05, 2013 for Model Number CPS 1278 oven While installing a light bulb, I heard a pop and now the oven beeps but everything still works except the light of course. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hello Kurt, This sounds like you may have replaced the bulb with power to the bulb turned on. This can shoot the bulb and/or the power supply for the bulb. Pull the tech sheet for the unit and test for voltage to the bulb. If voltage is present, turn the switch off and change the bulb again. If no voltage is present, try turning the switch on and re-testing. If still no power to the bulb, check for a fuse to the power supply board and voltage to the power supply board. Read More...
Elena January 01, 2013 Less than a month ago, our oven stopped working out of the blue. It turned on and the display worked but it wouldn't heat up. Called repair guy and after checking everything, he replaced the relay board (92028) and showed me the burned out spot. 2 days ago I used it, 350 degrees for a few hours. My husband said he smelled plastic, same as when it stopped working last time. Tried to use it tonight and it won't heat up again. What the heck?! Did I get a bad relay board? Could it be an electrical issue? We've had this oven for 6 years and never had a problem. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Elena, If the same issue has occurred, and I would definitely check first, The issue is normally caused by excessive current flow. I would check in the junction box where the wires are normally wire-nutted together. Many times when a repeat issue occurs, there will be a loose connection. If no problem exists, I would consider replacing the breaker since they are inexpensive to replace, (hold on to the old one in case the problem recurs and it is proven not to be the cause of the issue. If all checks good, replace the board again, (especially if it is still warranted). Read More...
Sam December 26, 2012 for Model Number ERD30S06BK I have a DACOR Epicure Range duel fuel. Everything works exept the bake burner, I took out the bake burner and it does have continuity, I check the two hi limit switches and they did not need to be reset. Am I correct to think it is the relay board. I also wondering if it could be the temperature sensor? Also, do I need to take the burner top of the stove off to get to the relay board, and if you can tell me where exactly the relay board is located and is there any special precautions or ways to handle the relay board when installing besides turning off the power. Thank you, Sam--------------------------
1 Answer Hello Sam. Yes, based on the information you provided, the relay board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...

Bob R. June 26, 2012 for Model Number CPS130W Oven starts in all modes but then shuts off. Any ideas as to what is causing this?
1 Answer Hello Bob, This is either a bad electrical connection to the unit or in the power supply, (wire nuts in junction box). It could even be a bad breaker. The relay on the power control board could have burned points in it. I would chase the power supply line first. The relay board DE81-09179A will be the issue if the issue isn't in the wiring.
