Sb September 22, 2019 for Model Number SMH7174BC As far as I can tell there are three thermostats in my Samsung microwave Model SMH7174BC - one next to my the magnetron and two others that are mounted next to each other close to the main board on the bottom. Question 1: Can you tell me if the two thermostats that are mounted next to each other should both show continuity when testing them? Question 2: The one next to the magnetron shows continuity. That one should, right? Thanks in advance for your help.
1 Answer SB, The two thermostats in question usually sit right behind the control panel in most units. And only one should have continuity, the other closes on heat rise to start the cooling fan for the magnetron. That is the only one that should read open though. Read More...
Joe K August 12, 2017 for Model Number SMH9207ST/XAA-0001 Recently asked about what part I need to order based on microwave shutting off after a couple of minutes and the overhead light making it happen immediately. You suggested the control board but which one? The main control board de92-02135a or main power control board de92-02136a. de92-02136a doesn't seen to be too difficult but I'm not sure about de92-02135a which seems to be located in the door. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks again!!!!!!!
Joe K August 07, 2017 for Model Number SMH9207ST/XAA-0001 Microwave shutoff after various times but mostly within a 2 minute period. All other functions work. I want to guess that it's the high voltage transformer and/or the high limit thermostat. I did notice that if I attempt to turn on the fan or the light the unit fails instantly. Suggesting to me that the extra current draw is causing the failure.
1 Answer Joe, This does not sound like it would be caused by the thermostat or the transformer but sounds like the draw is coming from the control board itself. This would most likely be a bad control board that would need to be replaced. Read More...

Alejandro November 11, 2013 for Model Number smh9187st My Samsung Microwave (model smh9187st) has no power (outlet works), I tried replacing parts DE47-20059B (#20), DE47-20034A (#21), DE47-20007B (#25), and the 2 fuses in the back (not sure the # in the diagram) but still no power. Any idea what else could be causing my Microwave not having power? Any insight is much appreciated. Thanks, Alejandro
1 Answer Alejandro, You will want to test the noise filter which is located beside the fan. There is a ceramic fuse that may have failed. The fuse may be tied into the board and not replaceable in which you would need the filter assembly DE96-00400B. This is the most likely cause for no power at all. Read More...
Ollie September 07, 2013 for Model Number SMH8165STE Is this thermostat (number 25 in the wiring diagram) normally with or without continuity? My microwave shows no life at all. (outlet is good). The 20A fuse shows continuity; as does the part 21 in the wiring diagram. However, the part 25 (to the bottem right of the fan on the same wall) has no continuity. thanks!
1 Answer Ollie, The of the 2 thermostats that are side by side on the bottom one will have continuity and the other will not unless the temp rises past a certain level. There are other Thermal cutouts on the unit that you will want to check to make sure that they have continuity. Read More...
Chris February 22, 2012 for Model Number Maytag MMV4205BAS I purchased this Thermostat (cavity location) by cross ref from DE47-20007A. I got two results on your website (AP4219746 and AP4219877). I think these are the correct parts and I think they are the same parts but to be sure I wanted the specs on the part. Are the detailed specs on these parts available? At a minimum I would like to know the threshold temperature (fusing temp), but all the device specs would be preferable. Thanks, Chris
1 Answer Chris, we do not have the detailed specs available on the thermostat DE47-20007A. However, the thermostat listed as part number DE47-20007B is a Samsung manufactured part and DE47-20007B is a Whirlpool manufactured part. Sorry about that and thank you for your inquiry. Read More...
