Questions & Answers

For Samsung Washer Water Inlet Valve (Part Number: OEM12613614)

Joe D for Model Number WF45H6300AG/A2

My front load Samsung has a leak that starts a little before it ends the cycle. Maybe while spinning. I am trying to remove the top like it shows in all the videos. There are two screws at each side in the back but also, I see on each top corner, a small plastic piece with two screws. What is this and what will happen if I remove it get the top off? I want to remove the top to see if I can see what is leaking. Any ideas would be helpful. thanks, Joe D

1 Answer

Joe, Remove those screws and push the top back and lift up. Find the water valves, sometimes you will find water leaking out of the top of them. Another possibility is the glass door has debris built up on the bottom of it and allows a small trickle of water out through the cycle until you see a small puddle on the floor. A good cleaning of the glass door will rectify this.

Jake, The hot water valve would be the part that would need to be replaced with hot water running into the unit.

Tom, Sounds like you have some testing to do. Check the valve to see if it has 120vac when the water should be stopped. If so you have a control issue, if not the valve is bad.

Steve, if the temperature is set to hot wash, the hot water valve DC62-30314K will need to be tested to ensure that it is receiving 120VAC while in operation. If it is receiving 120VAC, if it is not sending water through, then either a filter screen is clogged or the valve has failed. The same would be done for the cold water valve DC62-00214M when set to a cold wash temperature.

M, you will want to test the thermistors as well as the heating elements on your unit to ensure that they are operating properly and that the wiring is connected fully. If they pass testing, then you may be looking at a main control issue.

Roy, Check and make sure you have plenty of hot water at the faucet and fill hoses. Check and clean any debris in the screens, or replace the fill valve DC62-30314K / DC62-30314K inlet valve. Also check the thermistor DC32-00010C / DC32-00010C thermistor on the back of the tub. This would normally produce an error code in the display, but it could be out of range or have a loose connection and cause an erratic water temperature and/or the water solenoids wont activate and cycle properly.

Andrew, The 4E error is a water supply error and will want to check to make sure that the water valve is not clogged and if not then check to make sure that the valve is getting power to it. The LE error is a water leaking error in which you will want to check for water leaks.
