John Curran January 10, 2022 for Model Number DA62-02439C Thanks for the reply about the inlet valve. Do you mean I should first disconnect the wiring harness and then put the probes from the volt meter into the disconnected end (that’s attached to the valve) to test for 120 volts ? Is there any way to test this valve without the power being on ?
1 Answer John, The most reliable test will be a voltage test. You will just put the meter leads into the connection next to the wire where it goes into the refrigerator and test for 120 Vac when the dispenser lever is pushed. Read More...
John January 10, 2022 for Model Number curranservices@yahoo.com My Samsung refrigerator is making ice but not dispensing water. I already tried a new filter but that didn't help. How do I test the water inlet valve (DA62-02439C) to know if it's bad ? All the videos I've look at show two spades that can be tested with an ohm meter when you remove the wiring harness but this valve doesn't seem to have that.
1 Answer John, Test from the wires where the connect into the refrigerator and see if there is 120 Vac when the water dispenser lever is pushed. If there is 120 Vac then the valve would be the issue. Read More...
Jeff March 26, 2019 for Model Number RS22HDHPNBC/AA I ordered the replacement water valve (DA62-02439C) which has a single connector rather than 4 separate spade connectors. Do I need to splice in the wires?
1 Answer Hello Jeff, If you splice the wires you will need to make sure the black wires are spliced in properly so the valves operate as designed and do not cause a new problem. Without these, when the icemaker cycles, there is the possibility that the dispenser can have water come out. The black wires have to be connected to the wires they are connected to in the connectors to prevent this issue. Read More...
