The Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve Adapter is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It is a plastic fitting located at the end of the water supply line inside the appliance that connects the valve to the metal braided hose providing filtered water flow during wash cycles. The adapter plays an important role in forming a sealed connection without leaks. It is a 3/4 X 3/8 elbow adapter.

Causes may relate to splitting/cracking from over-tightening over time, mineral buildup clogging water pathways, or damaged sealing surfaces compromising connections.

Symptoms of a faulty adapter involve:

  • Incomplete or inefficient washing from reduced water volume
  • Puddles or puddling around the water supply area
  • Extended cycle times to reach necessary water levels

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Water Inlet Valve Adapter (Part Number: OEM17426925)

Hello Larry, While the manufacturer does not share much of this information with their distributors, I was able to locate some information on it. The part W10685193 is made by Jenn-Air in Springfield, IL. It is made of brass with a rubber seal. I found no information at all referring to cancer-causing materials. Dimensions are 3/4" X 3/8" with a 90° elbow. I'm sorry but this is all of the information we could gather on this part. If you have further questions you should direct these to the manufacturer. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

Louise, You could try a hardware store in the plumbing department to see if they have a part like this available. Just take the old one to match it up.
