Jesse June 08, 2014 for Model Number DV2C6BGW/XAA I have a Samsung dryer, front load, as I started to dry, there was nothing but a click sound and the drum would not turn when start button is pressed. The panel board lights up fine as if ready to go, could the belt cause this?
1 Answer Hello Jesse, If the belt had come off you would be able to hear the motor running. Try opening the door and holding in the door switch when you hit the start button. Jim C. February 26, 2012 for Model Number mde9700ayw The drum on my dryer stopped spinning.My uncle and I took the back off and put the belt back on but it is making a clicking sound when you start it on the left hand side where the wires meet a comp. board.It is powered up and making the beep like it always did when you start it but not moving.You just here a click then a pause and another click and that's it.
1 Answer Jim, You will need to check and make sure you have the belt installed properly on the idler pulley, and make sure the belt has not "slipped" into the support channel of the tumbler.
