Elmo C. December 09, 2018 for Model Number MGR4451BDW My burner head is rusted out and and ceramic igniter is cracked so I bought a replacement. I turned the old one counter clockwise and removed it. I placed the new one in and turned it clockwise but it does not lock in like the old one. It is free spinning. My serial # is 12508738 JN. What is the correct part number replacement part? What is the difference between part # WP3412D021-09 and WP3412D025-09?
1 Answer Elmo, The difference is very slight and hardly recognizable, but you have different BTU ratings on the burners, The left rear burner is a "simmer" burner WP3412D021-09 / WP3412D021-09 BURNER, SEALED (BLK)(LR smr). But the 3 remaining burners are the same WP3412D024-09 / WP3412D024-09 BURNER, SEALED (BLK). As for installation and removal, they are all the same, turn 90 dgrs. counterclockwise to remove, and turn 90 dges. clockwise to install. There are two "tabs" on the side of the burner base that insert into the two divots in the cooktop then as you turn the burner they tighten against the underside of the cooktop and seal. You may have a warped cooktop if you cant seat and twist the burner into place. Read More...

1 Answer Cheryl, Unfortunately the manufacturer has discontinued the taupe burner head and they are only available in black. Read More...

Steve July 19, 2015 for Model Number magic chef cooktop We had a power outage and win the power came on there was a surge. These burners keep trying to ignite without turning on the knobs? What is the issue. It's happening abut every minute or so and when I unplug one burner another one tries to ignite.
