Michael, the LED's can be tested for voltage from the dispenser control 67006294 (has been discontinued by the manufacturer) at the connection J4. With the black meter probe at pin 2 and the red meter probe at pin 1, there should be a reading of 12VDC when the lights are activated. If there is 12VDC, the chute assembly WPW10131128 would need to be replaced. If there is not 12VDC, the dispenser control has failed.

Hello Mike, this symptom occurs when the rear main (high voltage ) control board is starting to fail. To be sure you get the correct version of that board you will need to also use the serial number to locate it. The first two numbers of the serial number are the ref model number series number.

Don, We will need to have the model number of your unit to properly diagnose but if your unit is a french door model refrigerator then the main control board will be the most likely cause for this issue.

SD, Based on what has already been replaced the issue with your unit sounds like it could be caused by a faulty control board 67006294.

Mort A. for Model Number MFI2568AES

Yesterday the ice dispenser on the left door was working great and after I used it one time around lunch time. I started hearing noice like clicking. I checked the refrigerator and I saw that all light on the left side door were blinking none stop and none of the bottom would work. I could not use the the dispenser for water, ice or anything else and it clicking loud noise as if you were dispensing ice. What I noticed was that the flap or piece that move up and down to stop or allow ice to dispense was moving back and and forth none stop and that what was causing the noise. I disconnected the wires to stop it from working and reinstalled at least twice but it didn't solve the problem. Could it be that one of the buttons are stuck? Please advise on what is the problem and what I need to to get it fixed. Thank you

Hello Mort, This is a power supply issue. The control board W10890094 on the back of the unit will have to be replaced to correct the issue.

This is a follow up to my previous question. If you look at image two for the chute, it is the view as if you were holding the part and looking at the bottom. I does not contain the part number you gave for the answer to my original question. What it does contain is a very small separate board that only seems to control the LEDs that provide illumination at night. If you look at the illustration, you can see the two LEDs sticking out of this very small board. Again, in the second illustration, the LEDs are at the top. This is the board in question. Can I order this one separately from the chute or not? Thank you, JDan
