Hello Lee, This sounds like a failed control board or a bad membrane switch. You should first verify good connections at the ribbon cable.

Hello Lee, This can be a connection such as a wire nut in the junction box or loose terminal block nut, a high limit thermostat, a bad relay board, a bad low voltage transformer, or a bad clock. You will need to troubleshoot the unit with a test meter to see where the voltage gets to and where it stops. When you find the component that voltage enters but doesn't come back out of, you have found the problem component.

Tina, This issue sounds like it would be caused by the cooling fan not coming on. If the cooling fan does not come on it will cause the unit to shut down. You will want to check to see if the fan is coming on once the unit gets heated. Should come on at about 155 degrees. If the fan does not come on then test for 120 vac to the cooling fan and if there is power then the fan Y0315453 is faulty and if there is no power then the fan control thermostat 31933001 would be the issue. If the fan is running but the oven shuts down then the issue would be a bad control board WPY0309305.

Erik for Model Number AOCS3040E

I have read some of the posts, I thought I diagnosed it right. I have an Amana Oven and the clock part seems to work right. I press Bake and press on the temp to 350, the pre-bake comes on with the temp at 170. 3-5 seconds later the temp display turns off and nothing happens after that. I hear a click or even several clicks (1/2 second) very fast coming from the relay board. I ordered Y0309305 part and replaced the relay board. Same thing. I am not sure if the replacement board is also bad or if it is something else. Where is the high temp switch, could that be bad? There are times I keep going through this cycle and eventually it starts and once it is warm it stays going. Any clues?

Hello Karen. Test and see if there is power coming to the relay board when the oven is on. If so, and the board does not power the elements, you will need to replace the relay board WPY0309305. If there is no power to the relay board, then the clock 31746801 is bad and will need to be replaced. If the clock is not going into bake on the display, when the selector button is pressed, then the membrane switch 31861402W is bad on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
