Tina January 07, 2012 for Model Number jes9750baw My Jenn Air was hit with a power surge. The front control panel had power (said power loss) but no buttons worked, fan, oven everything. Called you phone assistant said new panel (part #8507p233-60) got it today put it in out come the same. What is the problem ? Different part?
1 Answer Hi Tina. First verify proper voltage at the terminal block for 240 vac between the outer red and black wires . Then you need to verify from each of these wires there is 120 vac from both of them to the center neutral white wire. Once this is established, then the question is do you have it at the controls ? Is the clock Led's lighting up ? Can you program it for a command ? Is the top working ?There is also a power relay in the same area part # WP8566493. It is used for the top elements. If so then you can find the high limit switch to see if it ohms closed. It is mounted on top of the unit or on the back. Part # WP7450P034-60. If it is open then you can jump these 2 wires momentarily to see if you now can get the oven elements to work. Let us know how we can assist. you further. Thank You. Read More...
Preston M. October 16, 2011 for Model Number jenn-air jes9750bas This range has the smooth buttons on the front panel. The button for the "vent fan" and "setup" have quit working but the "light" and "cancel" buttons are working. I pull the front panel off and saw no plug-in connections loose. Do I have to replace something or what do I need to look for to fix? Thanks for any help
1 Answer Hello Preston. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel WPW10206084 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
