Mike September 24, 2016 for Model Number GD25DIXHT02 This side by side has it's condensing coil on the bottom. Having fur sheading animals coils have to be cleaned more frequently. The question: is there a thin cleaning brush that will reach to the back of the coils. The dryer brush only goes so far and if I force it I am sure I will damage the coil. Vacuum only does the front. Thank You. Mike PS: I will NEVER buy another side by side. Not for the condenser, they just suck.
1 Answer Mike, There is a whirlpool crevice tool that is designed for getting the condenser coils clean. This tool will attach to the hose of your vacuum and then you slide it under the coils to get them clean. The part number for this will be 8171579A. Read More...
Rick April 18, 2016 for Model Number kenmore top mount refridgerator 106 my refrigerator stopped cooling. I saw where it was getting proper ventilation for air flow, the freezer was too packed. I took everything out and cleaned the coils. The freezer is freezing like crazy but it doesn't seem to be getting cold in the refrigerator area?
1 Answer Hello Rick, We will need the model number to see what configuration machine we are diagnosing. This sounds like you either have a defrost issue or an air flow issue, (possibly a fan motor or a wiring/power supply issue to a fan motor). Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
