Don H September 06, 2014 for Model Number WGD9600TW1 Dryer makes a loud hum when start is activated but won't start turning. I can manually start turning the tub and it takes off and runs fine. It just won't start on it's own. I think it's the dryer control board p/n w1017476. Can you tell me if there is a start capacitor on this board and if that's the defective part on the board. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Don. The motor is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Make sure nothing is binding the drum first. Read More...
Len August 27, 2014 for Model Number MGDE500VP0 I am replacing part number 52 on the schematic for the cabinet parts on your website. The part is W10174746 (AP4425770) and i was hoping you can send me a video or explanation on how quickest to replace the part. Thank you! Len
1 Answer Len, This control board is located on the left side of the inner cabinet as you are looking at the unit from the front. To replace it you will need to remove the 2 or 3 screws from the back top that holds the top cover on and slide the cover to the rear. You will want to disconnect the power to the unit. Once the top cover is off, on the left side is where the control board is, you just disconnect one connector at a time and plug it to the new control board and install the new board. Read More...
John D May 20, 2014 for Model Number mede500vw0 Dryer tripped panel breaker a couple times mid cycle, would resume running after clearing PF code, but after this occurred on a couple loads it would not power up after resetting the breaker. Breaker ok, thermal fuse tested with zero resistance, other thermal switches tested per tech guide and they tested ok. Electric control board? What do you think?
1 Answer Hello John. Check the terminal block and look for a wiring issue before replacing any parts. It sounds like the wiring is bad on the unit. Read More...

Is this the Main Control Board causing this? If so what would the part number be? Thanks!
