Terry January 04, 2021 for Model Number MEDE500VW Turned on my Maytag MEDE500VW dryer this morning and it just buzzed for a couple of seconds until I turned the power off. then I could smell the burnt electronic. I found the circuit board (W10174746) on the back side of the relay burned from pin to pin. Just wondering if it is safe to just change the circuit board, or is there something else that I need to check that may have caused this issue? Thank you
1 Answer Terry, Thanks for the question!!! It should be good to replace the board the failure sounds like it was due to poor solder joints on the control board. Read More...

1 Answer Leah, a model number of the dryer would be a big help but, no the WPW10174746 Elec. Control Board and the WPW10174745 Electronic Control Board are not interchangeable. The control boards are specific to certain model numbers of dryers. Thanks, Read More...
Derric July 03, 2020 for Model Number WGD9600TW1 I got the F01 error on my dryer. I looked up the issue and found it was the control board. The part I was told to get was w10174745 as it replaced the older W10182365. However, upon receiving the part and going through installation, the new board is missing a fuse of some kind (RF334012 on the old board) leaving me with an extra unplugged wire. What does this wire do and is it something I need or will everything be fine without it plugged in? Please help.
1 Answer Derric, It shows that the correct board for your unit will be part number WPW10174746. Read More...

Joshua February 23, 2020 for Model Number MEDE300VW1 my dryer is reading code F01. i tried unplugging machine for a while and and didnt solve the problem. I believe i need a control board as my research indicated. my question is regarding two similar part numbers for the control board. The Part i need is WPW10174745. Im not sure what the "PW" in the part number stands for. it is a fairly expensive part over $300. when i search on amazon for this part, a similar part number comes up(W10174745). Omitting the "PW" in the part number. It says it is compatible with my model number. Also is about $100 less. My question is wheather the less expensive part will work or if i need the WPW part number? Thank you
1 Answer Hello Joshua, the main control board for your model is W10174745, the additional prefix WP has been added by the manufacturer on some of their part numbers but it is the same part with or without the prefix. Read More...
Lester February 04, 2020 for Model Number Kenmore Elite H5 steam dryer I ordered a new control panel - W10182365 and received a W10174746 board. All connects are the same except for the two (2) on the side closest to the door. The existing plugs do plug into the new connections on top of the control board - I am not sure which way to plug in. Should the wires be as they were on the 10182365 board (left side of board) ?
1 Answer Hello Lester, There should be an indication as to which way to plug the connectors in, even if this is by looking at the tech sheet to see which color wire goes to the end where a small "1" is printed indicating pin number 1. I'm sorry but without the model number, we are unable to get specific. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Mojdeh November 02, 2019 for Model Number WED9200SQ1 My dryer is working but not giving a lot of heat. I was told that the control panel needs to be replaced as it is shorting. I researched and based on the model number i ordered w10174746 board but when opened the unit the part number on the existing unit reads w10182365, I am not sure how to connect the wires on the right side of the unit, as the two boards are not identical. any guidance or help would be appreciated.
1 Answer Mojdeh, the new control WPW10174745 for your model is a manufacturer direct replacement part and will have specific connections designed to only allow a certain wire set to be plugged into each port. The two that are plugged in through the outer shell would be plugged in with the wires facing towards the front of the assembly. Read More...

Whirlpool agent at parts department and online sources say replacement part is W10174745. However, part installed on dryer is actually W10174746, Rev E. Joanna January 22, 2018 for Model Number Whirlpool Duet I need to replace the control board for my Whirlpool Duet dryer. The old part number is W10182365 and the replacement part number is W10174746. It seems like the wires on the side of the old control board do not directly plug into part W10174746. Any advise?
