In the video foam tape and double sided tape was used in the iinstallation. Is part number Whirlpool AP3047022 fully compatible with my Kitchenaid cooktop? Also, can you provide instructions on how to remove the the old glass cooktop from my Kitchenaid KECD865HBL3. Micah May 23, 2015 for Model Number 4455589 I ordered this glass replacement for a Kitchenaid cooktop, but I can't get it to fit. I can get three sides to go on the cooktop, but not all four at the same time. I've measured the old glass top, and the parts measure the same. It's the correct replacement part (and I've checked part and serial numbers). But it won't budge, and I don't want to shatter the new glass in getting it to go on. Is there a way to move the brackets on this glass? Or any other advice for getting the part to fit over top?
