1 Answer Hello Lisa. 1. Unplug range or disconnect power. 2. Pull the range out of its mounting location so that you can access the rear of the unit. 3. Remove the control panel and rotate it forward. 4. Remove the screws from the left and right side trim, and then from the rear trim. Remove the trim pieces from around the cooktop glass. 5. Remove the cooktop glass brackets from the left and right sides of the range. 6. Lift the rear of the cooktop glass off the range, slide it out from under the front control bracket, and remove it. Laura August 04, 2011 for Model Number KESS907SSS00 Found it! I just want to make sure this is the black top and do I need to order any other parts to replace the cooktop?
Laura August 04, 2011 for Model Number I cant find the model number on oven I cant find the model number on oven (decal is missing) but the manual says it could be KERS807, YKERS807, KERSS907 and YKESS907. Mine is stainless steel with black ceramic glass cooktop. Is this the black ceramic glass cooktop for my range?
1 Answer Hi Laura. The model # is located in behind the drawer on the frame. There is a stcker with the model and serial # on it. The one with a "S" is close as it denotes the stainless , but what we need is your exact one so we can order the correct part. Your use and care manual can be used for a few models so this is why they give an area inside for you to write your model down. Hope this helps. Thank you. Read More...
