The Detergent Dispenser is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. This component is crucial for the proper release of detergent into the dishwasher during a wash cycle. It includes mechanisms for storing and then dispensing both detergent and rinse aid at the correct times, ensuring optimal cleaning performance.

Symptoms of a failing detergent dispenser include:

  • Detergent not being released into the cycle
  • Residual detergent left in the dispenser after cycles
  • Rinse aid levels decreasing at an inconsistent rate

Causes of detergent dispenser issues typically involve mechanical failures such as stuck or broken release mechanisms, clogging from detergent residue, or electronic malfunctions that affect timing and operation.

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
