Paul August 14, 2013 for Model Number KUDS01FLSS5 I have replaced the heating element and the enclosed new motherboard. I now find that the water is not drained completely after any wash. I check the drain tube and it flows unimpeded directly to the drain underneath. Is the problem the board with changed cycles? Any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Paul. No, check the drain hose for clogs. Also, make sure the drain pump is good on the unit. The sump is suppose to retain some water but should not be visible from the top of the unit. Read More...
Handydad August 13, 2013 for Model Number KUDI02IRBLO (Kitchenaid) I have the typical and apparently very common door balance link breakage on my Kitchenaid dish washer. I've found the matching Door Balance Link Kit AP3775412 to order (thank you!). However, I am VERY reluctant to replace a part shown to be made by the OEM (Whirlpool) on your website, when there have apparently been no efforts on the part of Whirlpool to improve the parts reliability. This dishwasher only started use in 2008, so it's only five years old with just two of us using it perhaps once every other day at most. Is there a third party part to repair this that is purpose-designed to be stronger and less likely to break again? I don't mind fixing things, but fixing them once in a lifetime is all I want to do. I don't want to have to go through pulling the dishwasher out again in another 5 years to replace these parts again. That's just dumb.
1 Answer Hello HandyDad. Actually these have been redesigned and if you use all the parts in the kit, it shouldn't break as often. There is no 3rd party kit. Sorry. Read More...

Marilyn July 31, 2013 regarding my door balance kit on my Kenmore Elite dishwasher: The springs are fine, and all the parts of the kit seem fine except the two "links" that have the string attached to them. The ends of the strings are frayed and not connected to the plastic tips. Can I just run the string through the holes in the tips and know the ends?
1 Answer Marilyn, No the lines would not be able to be run through the holes in the tips as it will cause issues with the door opening and closing. You would want to get new cables. Read More...
