Tru December 10, 2012 for Model Number MAH5500BWW On the boot drain hose, does the hose guard go under the clamp at the boot side. The hose on my machine pulled away during a wash cycle. Will I need a new boot drain hose and are the new ones different; without the hose guard?
1 Answer Hello Tru, The guard hose goes on the boot side of the drain hose. It slides onto the drain hose and slides down to the serrated part. The new hose does not come with the gaurd but still needs guard on it. Unless the drain has been damaged it can be reused when installing new door boot. Read More...
Jan July 10, 2011 for Model Number MAH5500BWW Need the hose just under the tub, front of washer, that gets hit if load is unbalanced and eventually develops leak if it has been hit too much. What is that one called? Easy to replace by myself.
1 Answer Hello Jan! The hose that is in the front of the unit underneath the tub is the door boot drain hose WP22004477. You will need to remove the door and remove the front panel. Unclip the two clamps on the drain hose and remove the hose. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps! Read More...
