1 Answer Nelson, you should be able to pull the lint screen out and with a flashlight, look through the slot and see if there is lint blocking the screen from going all the way down. Some vacuum cleaners have an attachment that will fit through the slot to allow you to clean out the blower housing. If you can't use a vacuum, you will need to remove the front panel and remove the blower housing. Read More...

Mike June 18, 2018 for Model Number WED9470wwz We recently moved into a condo. The unit's previous owner left their Whirlpool Duel Washer/Dryer stack. My wife notice that the dryer lint filter does not collect lint. Our experience with lint filters is that they collect lots of lint which has to be removed before loading the dryer. This unit collects very little lint. Clothes seem to dry OK, but we're worried about the duct and possible fire. Any advice regarding this will be appreciated. Thanks, Mike
1 Answer Mike, You will want check the venting to make sure that it is not clogged and also check to make sure that there is nothing caught in the blower wheel. Read More...

Jmo October 11, 2017 for Model Number Kenmore Dryer Model 110.7531701 For my dryer lint screen - the felt strip always comes off. Can I safely operate the dryer without the felt strip, or is it better to buy a new one ? I also do not see anyplace where the felt strip can be ordered separately. (not sure why...) thanks !
1 Answer JMO, Yes you can "safely operate the dryer without the felt strip". In fact, the felt seal has been eliminated from the "new" replacement part W10120998 / W10120998. Check and make sure there is no residual adhesive or excessive felt particles left on your original part, and you should be fine. Thanks, Read More...
