John for Model Number CDG600W

Hi I have a dryer that was converted into lp propane that I purchased from a friend.. Now I'm in the process of installing it in my home. My main question, the dryer has a built in regulator. I will be using propane tanks that range from 100lb and 20lb that I fill up locally. My tanks are stored outside my house. Do i need a additonal regulator before my shut off valve outside or being that the dryer has a built in regulator will that regulator be the only one i need. The specfic regulator that I am talking about is the one that would come after the connection of the lp tank. like the ones used in gas grills.

John, Yes, you would want to install a regulator on the tank or gas line before the house. The pressures in the tank(s) are going to fluctuate with the weather and temperature. The internal regulator is designed to vent or "lock up" at 12 to 14 WCI, so you need to maintain a constant pressure of 10 to 12 WCI to the dryer gas valve.

Hello Sue. No, you will use the old regulator on the dryer and install the regulator pin sent with the conversion kit WP63-6766 for LP.

Jorge, No, you can't convert a gas dryer into an electric dryer, it would not be cost effective. You can convert the dryer gas valve to LP Gas and use a gas supply tank, but you will also need to install a gas regulator on the tank to maintain the 10 to 11 WCI pressure to the dryer gas system. If you use a basic bar b Que tank, be ready to refillit, quite often. Good Luck and Thanks
