1 Answer Josh, Open the oven door and remove the racks. Using a flashlight so you can see good and no power to the unit locate the screws on the element screwed into the back wall. Remove the screws and carefully pull the element toward you not to disconnect the wires attached to it. Disconnect the wires and make sure they don't fall back into the cavity and connect them to the new element and reinstall the element. Apply power and check for function. Read More...

Tom January 21, 2021 for Model Number WFE505W0HW0 Whirlpool Oven: Bake element does not come on when the oven is turned on, but the broiler element does come on (and stays on). Appears I may need a new element. Also if I do need a new element, how do you remove it? Just plug/pull or do I need to open up back? Also if I order and that does not work, can I return the part?
