David, The unit has 2 fans in it. One is behind the rear wall in the freezer compartment and the other is located behind the refrigerator next to the compressor. The fan in the freezer sits just below where the auger housing is located at. It could be a fan that is vibrating but also check the condenser to make sure that it is not vibrating. The noise could be a refrigerant line that is vibrating also.

Hi Tracy. The compressor should only get warm to the touch as if you can stand to lay your hand on it for 10-20sec. It should not fry an egg.... Improper air flow is a very common failure if the condenser fan is stopped or not up to speed. Part # 12002738. If the condenser coils are stopped up, then take a shop vac and coil brush part #TJ103 to clear so the freon does not boil. This will overheat a compressor as well. If the back is dirty... Thank You.

Tincan, You are orienting the fan assembly onto the fan shroud assembly proeprly, it only fits one way and you'd use the same screws and mounting holes on the shroud as the original assembly. Thanks and Good Luck
