Tom November 19, 2013 for Model Number KSRB25FHSS01 We have replaced the water filter, but the water flows slowly - one cup in half a minute. The filter says it's rated for half a gallon a minute. The water pressure connected to the back of the fridge is quite high, so that's not the issue. Any ideas what could be causing the water to flow slow?

Linda October 07, 2013 Put in new filter, light didn't change so pulled filter back out and dirty water came out onto floor and out of filter. It's a whirlpool side by side. What does flush for 3 gallons prior to use mean? I don't recall doing anything different the last time we changed it.

I put the same filter back in, but noticed that the filter cap was cracked. Did this cause the leak? I have since replaced the water filter and the filter cap, but I'm still not sure what caused the leak in the first place.
