For Whirlpool Washer Control Circuit Fuse (Part Number: OEM18018675)

S. West, the fuse should be able to lift out of the fuse block readily. With the power cord unplugged or the breaker turned off, a small flathead screwdriver can be used to act as a pry bar between the fuse and fuse block, on the metal end of the fuse.

John for Model Number LSE7806ACE

I have the same situation as a previous question with regards to this fuse. Initially it would not fill, but would spin. After replacing the fuse, it worked for two loads then stopped doing anything. It now blows the fuse sometimes as the knob switch is activated. Looking at the wiring diagram, I do not understand how the lid switch could cause this fuse to blow. I tested the temperature selector switch with an ohm meter. It seems to function and not be shorted. Is there a way to test the pressure switch? Also, checking the voltage of the purple wire that runs into the pressure switch gave a very low reading. Should there be 110 volts there? Thank you

Hello John, This sounds like one of the switches in the lid switch assembly 12001514 has failed. When the two switches are not in the correct configuration, the fuse blows. This can happen every time or be intermittent.
