Dan June 16, 2011 for Model Number wmh1162xvq-2 Microwave is not getting any power to it. Outlet checked o.k. Is there a fuse?
1 Answer Hello Dan. Yes, there is a fuse in the microwave. You will need to remove the outer cover and test the fuse to see if it is good. It should read closed for continuity. If it is open, you will need to replace the fuse W11707984. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Marilyn May 17, 2011 for Model Number WMH1162XVB2 My microwave has no heat. Could it be the fuse and how do I replace it? The microwave is less than 2 years old.
1 Answer Hello Marilyn! With the microwave not heating, it could be several different parts. The main heating parts are the magnetron W10754299, transformer WP8206343, and diode W11256462. You can test these parts along with the thermal fuse with a multimeter MA-DM1.
