Rich March 26, 2014 for Model Number GLT3057RQ03 I have a Whirlpool range top, and broke the bolts while trying to remove them from the Orifice holder (Front Left burner), I had wanted to replace the drip dish... so being unable to get the bolts out, which orifice holder do I need to order, and HOW do you get to the screw located on the underside of the Orifice holder to get the orifice holder off the bracket it is mounted too?
1 Answer Rich, In order to get the screw out that is stripped or broken, you can try to use a screw extraction tool to get it out and if it will still not come out then you would need to drill it out. This will be the only way to get the part off. The orifice holder for the Left front is part number WPW10128451. Read More...
Frank H. January 02, 2014 for Model Number KGC166GSS07 The unit is propane and has worked fine since 2002. Recently it wouldn't turn down enough to simmer. Low is just not low enough. I replaced the regulator, but it didn't help. What else could it be?
1 Answer Hello Frank, This sounds like the gas valve has failed. The correct gas valve is determined by the model number from the units' I.D. tag and which surface burner is giving the issue. For this reason, we will have to ask you to please verify the units' model number and let us know so we can look up the proper part. Thank you for your understanding and patience in this matter.
