The High-Temperature Adhesive Tube is an OEM part for Whirlpool appliances. This adhesive is specifically formulated to withstand extreme temperatures, making it ideal for securing components in ovens, dryers, and other high-heat environments. It is commonly used to seal or repair gaskets, felt seals, and other parts that require a durable bond to maintain integrity under thermal stress.

Symptoms of a need for High-Temperature Adhesive include:

  • Loose components or seals within high-heat appliances
  • Heat escaping from appliance seals
  • Unusual noises due to parts shifting that are normally secured

Causes for the use of high-temperature adhesive can stem from normal wear and tear that loosens components or degradation of previous adhesive applications due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures.

This product is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

kdpjazzy, We cannot recommend this since it is not part of the manufacturers part list. This is a high temp adhesive but if you get any on the clear glass area it will be hard to remove. This product dries to a gold color so keep that in mind. Good luck.

Jeremy, Unfortunately, we do not have the MSDS information available to send on this. This would be more of a rubber cement type of adhesive and will be enough for both front and back seals.

Noah, unfortunately, the manufacturer does not show a high-temperature adhesive being used with the outer glass as it is designed to sit in a glass retainer at the bottom and the handle holds it together at the top.

Hello Desmond, You do not have to remove all of the old adhesive but if it is protruding enough to cause an issue, it should be scraped off with a sharp knife in such a way that the enamel is not removed. The new adhesive will adhere to the old as well as the enamel on the unit.

Tom, You would not want to use the high temp adhesive because it is not food grade quality. the only way to correct this would be to replace the inner door panel which will have the gasket at the bottom.
