This oven door hinge is a replacement for many models of ovens. Oven doors will have two hinges. If there is a problem with one or both of the hinges, it means that the door will not open and close properly. It might not stay closed, or it could be difficult to open. This would make it impossible to use the oven, and the hinge should be replaced as soon as possible. An oven door hinge could become damaged for a host of reasons. When the door is open, too much pressure could be placed on the hinge, which could cause it to break. It could become corroded over time, or the spring might wear down. When there are issues, the owner will want to replace the hinge to ensure the door stays closed. Owners should always make sure the oven is off and not powered before beginning work. The oven door hinge will work with certain models of ovens from Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, Jenn-Air, Norge, Crosley, and Magic Chef. This is a genuine OEM replacement part, and it is sold individually. If both of the hinges need to be replaced, the owner will need to buy two.

Hello Barbara, You will need to remove the bodyside on this unit to access the door hinge. This is done by raising the main top and removing the screws across the top of the bodyside and removing the screws down the back of the bodyside. The bodyside will then un-hook and the hinge will be visible. Note that the door will have to be removed also.
