  • Maintains a sealed, unobstructed path for efficient draining
  • Helps prevent leaks from splits, brittleness, or loose connections
  • Commonly resolves slow/no drain, water left in the tub, or water backing up
  • Visible kinks, cracks, or blockages in the hose indicate replacement is needed

  • Disconnect power and shut off water supply before servicing
  • Place a towel or shallow pan to catch residual water when removing the old hose

Hello Lisa, This unit should have a clamp or you will end up with a leak. The clamp used on this design will require a pair of pliers just like in the video but the hose connects in the bottom of the machine. The parts list actually shows a clamp that can be remove with either a flat blade screwdriver or a small socket, (usually 5/16 or 1/4 inch). You will have to remove the main back cover to perform this part replacement.

Nicole, To change out the hose you will need to unplug the washer. Turn off the water supply to the washer. Disconnect the hot and cold water hoses from the rear of the washer and remove the end of the drain hose from the standpipe. Take the washer lid closed. Carefully lay the washer on its front panel, place padding on the floor to protect the surface. Loosen the clamp and pull the drain hose off the pump. Not that there is a tab on the outlet connector that fits into a slot in the hose. You can now remove the drain hose and install the new hose.

Joe, First check the water inlet hoses and faucets for drips, Then fill the washer with a hot wash setting and detergent only, drain the washer and see if you have a slow drain that is backing up and over the top of the drain standpipe. It may not be the washer leaking at all. Good Luck and Thanks
