This valve controls the flow of household water into the dishwasher during the fill portions of the cycle. Replacing a weak, stuck, or leaking valve restores proper filling and helps prevent fill errors and water damage. What it does:

  • Opens and closes to let the correct amount of water into the tub
  • Common symptoms: no fill or very slow fill
  • Water entering the tub when the dishwasher is off or won't stop filling
  • Drips or leaks from the valve body or hose connection
What's included:
  • One water inlet valve assembly
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the water supply before servicing
  • Place a towel to catch residual water; relieve line pressure at the supply
  • Note wire and hose orientation before removal; move connections one at a time
  • After installation, restore water and power, then run a brief fill to check for leaks

Hello Vin. Disconnect the power to the unit. Release the two clips under the corners of the control panel securing the control panel. You can use a flat blade putty or butter knife to do this. Pull the control panel forward and flip it backwards. Next unplug the lid switch and remove the two brass colored clips securing the cabinet to the back wall using a flat blade screwdriver to pry them out. Pull on the front of the cabinet and slide the cabinet off the frame of the washer. You can now access and replace the part needed. Reinstall in reverse order.

If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit.
